an apple a day

Our weekend plans were actually a success! We spent our Saturday in Hood River, one of Oregon's many beauties. It's made up of orchards, vineyards and farms nestled into the hills between the mighty Columbia River, and snow capped Mt Hood.

On this particular occasion we were on a serious mission for some honey crisp apples. We bought a whole lot of em (I don't think we'll ever have to go to the doctor again). Side missions included fudge, applesauce tasting, a kale plant ... and more pumpkins :)

It was well worth the drive out of the city. We are feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the week.
