modern christmas ornament | DIY

Ah how I love a modern craft project. These simple cement ornaments were incredibly easy to make and I love the way they turned out. Nathan and I are anxious to decorate our tree this year!

1. Gather materials
2. Mix water and cement together. Follow the instructions on your cement package, I picked my mix up at Home Depot.
3. Pour cement into your silicone mold. I found mine at a local craft store, it was located in the candy/cakes aisle.
4. As the cement is setting gently make holes with a skewer or other poky device. The hole will allow your ornament to hang on a lovely thread.
5. Let the cement dry overnight
6. Pop your ornaments out in the morning. Now they are ready to be painted how ever you like! I taped off simple diagonals and applied color with spray paint.

Now you have super cool ornaments that you can't buy at Target!
